Gang,
We are scheduled for this Tuesday night at 8PM EST for the beta test and SM rules live discussion.
Jim Drago and Jason Holland from SCCA and NASA respectively are confirmed. I have also invited David DelGenio and Steve Scheifler to participate.
We will have a list of topics and an open Q&A period regarding the SM class, rules and the controversial "Intent vs Tech Shed Legal" saga.
I'm not sure what any of us will learn but I have a feeling it will be interesting.
Soon I will have the login information posted here plus I will send out an invitation to all members. If you are the type that doesn't like spam, turn off email notifications in your profile, NOW. You can also visit http://www.WebLaps.com for information, soon to be posted.
The most important part of this first beta test and free discussion is to shed light on a cause close to the Mazda family. Lieutenant Colonel Andrew C. Lim, USMC and his outfit needs our support to help ensure their safe return home.
Start thinking about what you want to ask, timing, ECUs, why are brake pads free? Its all fair game!

I thought the system works very well. It would be better if we could submit questions in advance as some of my questions went unanswered.
Sorry sort of tuned out for the last half as I was trying to scale my car for Sebring.

The format and material will be different once we get out of beta. We had the room in open chat mode and some other features turned off to reduce the load on the moderators. Polls, question submission, and question ranking voted on by attendees was all turned off. The main tests we needed were hardware and the voice delay. I think we got a handle on how it works. Was exactly how the tutorial said, go figure.

Thanks Jim. Watched the recast as my kids all had math tests the next day so I missed the live performance. The best part was watching the interaction between all of you.
Could we begin the next one with a discussion of how Mike built and drove a 1.6 that had to have 40 lbs. of ballast to make weight.

I should have clarified that. The last time I drove a 1.6 it had to weigh 2300. I race in SSM all the time and need gas to make weight, SSM needs to weigh 2275. We have several 1.6 car that can carry a 265+ driver and make weight. Want to buy one?
