My question is if the manual calls for the deck height of the block to be say 8.270 but allows you to (true up the deck) by .008 does that mean the legal deck height is really 8.262? I cant remember if these are the true measurements that I pulled from the book but you get the idea. Thanks

If you are running SCCA, download the GCR and keep track of changes.
2010: block may be cut to correct C/R only other spec is bore size (max). head total thickness is a min dimension now. also be careful of valve job, especially the seat angles and width and the stem length.
Not sure but NASA should be in line with all this.

Thanks so much for the replies after reading them I called Bob @ Race Engineering and he really opened my eyes as to why I need to stay in the Body Shop business and let the Machinest do what they do best. There really is a lot more to this than just milling the block to what the GCR says you can take off. The guys that build these motors for a living really know the ins and outs of them and put up with my dumb questions, thanks for all you do.
