Lee, you should have joined us in Dallas for school, Chris and I would have loved the company. We started the weekend with 3 SM's then the freeze hit and we were down to 2. Chris got bored passing me and dodging Rx7s.

Do you have a license with any other org?

I had a race that weekend. I am going to Roebling Road in February for the super school.

Steven, I have a license with the local road racing track, but it is not SCCA or NASA sanctioned. I also have an SCCA Novice Permit and a SVRA license for the One Lap of America. From what I have been told, SCCA would still prefer at least one school.

I'd call or email Rod Dundas before I spent all the money to go to Roebling.

Think about the carnage with all of us rookies slopping around in the rain coming over the Launch or exiting the Carousel. Is it too late to decide to just work a corner?

For us rookies (and others doing test and tune tomorrow), the track goes green at 9am. No groups unless the track sees the need to split up classes for safety reasons. Word is we will get lots of wet track time.

Having fun over here. I'm not fast, but I stay on the track. Just trying to get my two races in for my license. Great group of racers here. Chris and Michael are pretty fast for rookies. I qualified 11 out of 14 and finished 12. Not bad for a rookie in the rain.

Ceasar, now i know why number 8 decided to get back on the track in front of me as i was exiting the final turn. That must have been some serious pucker factor for you as the wall was coming at you.

It was great meeting some of the folks from this board. Due to staying out of trouble by driving embarrasingly slow, I got my two races signed off and can now get my Regional license. It was a great weekend and I was reminded why driving in the rain sucks.

Change of underware was required!
Ironically exactly a year ago today, we had a finish just as exciting, except no one ran into trouble.

Sorry to all as I did screw up the race. Over-cooked it into the carrousel on lap #4 trying to catch Adam and launched the car about 100 yards before getting stuck. That was the longest tow rope I've ever seen btw. Second episode not my fault as I got punted into the muck. Did have a good view of the mayhem at the finish from the corner station. Did you guys get a lecture? Saw all involved at the black flag station at the end.

Well the first weekend is over and I didn't even hit anybody or finish last. So overall I would call it a success. Great meeting you Lee, especially thanks for not T-boning me when I spin in front of you.
Thanks to Louie Rivera for having a clutch slave cylinder so i could get the last ITA race in, also thanks for the help getting the car setup and coaching me.
Great racing with you again Chris, hope you get your new engine ready soon.
Thanks to Ceasar for taking me out last week and showing me the ropes of MSRH, I qualified well but I have a lot to learn about racecraft.
And a special thanks to the two guys who hit me from behind. Now that I have that out of the way I know what to expect.
