I've been tinkering with the PT#'s and can someone chime in here. When crossing over from SMT to a PTE in a 99 miata you are allowed 19 points, correct?
7 points-SMT suspension? Shocks, springs, swaybars?
3 points for the torsen?
3 points for the exhaust? 2 exhaust 1 cat delete?

Leaving 6 for tires? And not much else.

Thanks for any input.

Hoosiers = +10-7 (for size) = +3
SM shocks +3
springs +2
sway bars +2
exhaust +2
cat + 1

That leaves you with 6 points to play around with. Maybe an intake, header, or ECU.

You don't need to add points for the Torsen as it's not aftermarket. The car comes with an LSD, so that has been taken into consideration when it was base classed.

Correct on the suspension, Torsen and exhaust.

On tires, if you're running 205 tires, you subtract 7 points since PTE allows up to 235 tires. Running Hoosiers is a net cost of 3 points (+10 for tires and -7 for tire size = +3).

You running "The 25" this year?

I thought you don't need to add points for the Torsen as it's factory in the '99 and most Na 1.8's?

#32) Added limited slip differential +3

Front page of classification form about 2/3rd of the way down says

ALL Factory Options and Parts Not on the Base Trim Model Must Be Assessed Points!!!

As far as I know from 90-99 base models did not included a limited slip, torsen or viscous. So maybe I should be adding a point/s for the front spoiler on my 90?

I messed up the tire calculation, thanks Sean.

Yes, take points for the front lip spoiler. It's considered a front airdam and is +3 points.

So there's your 19 points. Perfect!
