You should read the rules for the enduro you are planning on entering. Here is the SEDIV ECR rule on refueling gear. "Fueling gear shall consist of a gas can with a filler spout or funnel at a minimum. No overhead fueling rigs allowed. A
maximum of 20 gallons of gas is allowed in the “hot pit” area per car."

At the NASA Thunderhill event, having a Dry Break immediatly puts youinto the Super Unlimited Class. I ran in a VW Fun Cup Car with Tony Swan last year-130HP with BFG street tires- but becuase the spec uses a dry break, our competition was all the Vipers, ALMS Prottypes etc...
Funny thing was out of 18 entries in that class we came in 6th! even with a Flywheel change in the 9th hour...
And A MX-5 cup car won the overall...
So you just never know

HOWEVER>> the NASA rules allow you to make any type of homemade device to aid in fueling. The trick n fueling the Miata is not getting the gas in, but the air OUT.
In the 2007 race, we filled 10 gallons ( 2 five gallon jugs as per GCR) in less than 20 seconds without spilling a drop...
Think NASCAR catch can....
