The SCCA Central Wisconsin Region announced today the June Sprints will use the same 2.25 mile "NASCAR circuit" that the NASCAR Nationwide Series will use during the June 18-19 event at Road America. This track configuration uses the straight section of road between turns 5 and 13, creating a 4 turn rectangular course. The track now has a longer, more exciting, straightway between the exit of turn 3, and the new turn 13, which allows for more drafting and passing.
The course configuration was suggested by ESPN, and also allowed the construction of new luxury grandstands at the bottom of the hill between turns 5 and 6, which will remain in place for the June Sprints. Fans in the luxury grandstands will now see the cars for 23 laps per race, versus 13 laps in the old configuration. It is a similar strategy that has been used at Watkins Glen and Infineon Raceway.

Here is video from last year after the restart! Fun now, but wasnt then The white/black 67 car is Andrew Charboneau, it is my in car, to bad the rumbles shut the camera off early, the entire race was that way. Jim
Come on there's 8-10 or so folks from the SouthEast, how about some of your good ol smack. Even JD2 has been very low key. I'm on my way & other than crewing with an F production car my main interest is watching the Labounty 1.6 adapt & do his thing. Oh, & also the magic of OPM with Steyn.
Rich, don't ya wish you had your 1.6 to draft with Labounty rather than that other Spec car yer driving.
