GoRacingTV.com announced today the airing of a weekly new Motorsports news show “The Insiders” airing 8:00 PM EST each Thursday. This fast passed, opinionated news show format will primarily cover sports car, Rally and open wheel racing in the US and Canada and will follow several Pro series such as Grand Am, ALMS, World Challenge, Rally Car, Indycar and Trans Am. But the show will also shed light on what is gong on with amateur, entry level Pro and grassroots series like SCCA and NASA club racing, Star Mazda Championship, F2000 Championship and Canadian Touring Car.
The shows aim is to fill the void left in the Sports car grassroots racing community with the cancellation of the Internet show “Shifting Gears”.
“Fans of GoRacingTV have asked us since we started the site if we planned on bringing Sifting Gears back alive on our site. It seemed to be a widely popular show and although I’m not sure of the reason for it’s demise, I think there is a need for a show that pays attention to what is going on in the amateur, entry level Pro and grassroots racing world. We hope to fill the void” Said Errol Tucker Sr. the show‘s Executive Producer.

Thanks Errol, but that wasn't what I was asking.
I was asking to decouple from the player to something like an MPEG-4 or H.264 to playback natively on platforms like gaming consoles and DVRs. Some of the newer platforms are starting to support Flash though. It will interesting to see what is on tap at CES this year.
Regardless of the platform/player, the Internet is doing wonders for narrow market content like this.
