Hi all!

New guy, just bought a 1990 SM and trailer (still have to pick the guy up) and can't wait to get active with it.

Anyone with wisdom to share? Anyone in the region?

In terms of driver prep, I'm doing a three day skippy school. I wouldn't mind if anyone knows of any drivers ed events in the region, or clubs worth joining to get some track time. Wouldn't mind having a group of miatas to run with.

In terms of car prep, are there any good shops in the LI area? I'm ok with a set of spanners, but back-up always helps esp on things bigger than brakes and what not.

Thanks in advance! Any pointers or guidance appreciated!

Vick,

TKX has a really good Lime Rock set-up saved in their alignment machine from my car. Feel free to use it if you wish. They are in Huntington.

SCDA1.com does alot of gret track events but the season is about over.

Where are you located?

Live in Manhattan, but grew up in Huntington. Work in New Hyde Park area currently. Thanks for permission to use your setup!

Probably in the back yard of the house I grew up in, just outside the village. If anyone knows of any garage space for rent (not just storage behind someone's house, but a place to hang out and work on the car) I wouldn't mind knowing about it. either for sale or for rent.

Trackmasters is a good club to run with at the Glen for big blocks of track time with fast cars.
