Andrew Caddell to compete at the 2007 SCCA National Championship Runoffs with SafeRacer.com
2006 SCCA Spec Miata National Champion Andrew Caddell and SafeRacer.com are teaming up for the very competitive 2007 SCCA Spec Miata National Championship Runoffs
Neosho, MO (September 19, 2007) --- SafeRacer.com is proud to announce that Andrew Caddell will be joining “Team SafeRacer” for the 2007 SCCA Runoffs.
Caddell is returning to defend his 2006 National Championship after a storybook year that started with the 2006 Runoffs win, then being awarded a MX-5 Cup car from Mazda for the 2007 MX-5 Cup Series. Caddell went onto win 2 pole positions and scored 2 wins in his first year of Pro racing.
"It has been like a dream for the past year," said Caddell, 19. "First winning the SCCA Spec Miata Championship and then being selected by Mazda to be awarded the 2007 Mazda MX-5 Cup race car was great. We had a great season in the MX-5 Cup series and now we have partnered with one of the best Spec Miata teams and a great company in SafeRacer.com for the 2007 Runoffs.
“We’ve been very busy this year as a company and a race team, our business is up over 40% from 2006 and continues to expand at a phenomenal rate”, said SafeRacer.com owner, Charlie James. “We have been running 3 to 4 Spec Miatas at most Midwest Nationals this year and are excited to be adding Andrew to our team for this big event. He has more than shown his talent in a race car and what impresses us even more is his personality and the great family influence that he brings along. We are looking forward to a great week at the Runoffs with Andrew and his family.”

I don't think Andrew had time to run any SM events this season. He qualified as defending National Champion. wheel
By the way. I tested yesterday at HPT and there were extra tires in front of the turn one wall/outhouse/light pole. I was later told that the tires were there to protect the workers who were removing the light pole and wall. I didn't pay any attention to it, while driving, but I will fly up tomorrow and check it out. It they are moving all that stuff it is major good news.
