Does anyone have any experience with SABELT products? As in racer shoes, gloves, belts, helmets? If so how do they compare to Piloti, MOMO, Alpine Stars?
thanks

I rememer seeing a bunch of their stuff at the limerock driving impressions store (which may be closed now). Might be worth a call to them........I think they have a storefront in jersey.
Anyone know if stable in jersey has their stuff? I forget.

Sabelt are top notch! Used throughout professional racing. They have been around a long time and make very nice equipment. Their belts are like Schroth, other equipment like OMP, Aplinestars, etc.

Can't comment on their current product line, but 6-8 years ago, when I first built my car, I had a 'Sparco' harness. I put that in quotes because it was, in fact, a re-badged Sabelt product. I'd hazard a guess they are still quality product. That said, I've had a hard time beating my GForce equipment. In fact, my GForce harness just saved my a** in a car-destroying wreck.
For the personal stuff - gloves / helmet / shoes, you really do yourself a disservice if you don't try it on. I tried on probably 10 different pairs of shoes, and I ended up with a ridiculously cheap pair of Simpsons. I do love the reverse-seamed Sparco gloves though...
