This poll is over on the NASA forum, but still
too funny.. Seems NASA mid-Atlantic would like
to start a target practice range during the
NASA events.. Of course, an extra fee would
apply if you choose to bring gun and
bullets to the racetrack. Since the Mid-Atlantic only uses two racetracks, which
lucky track gets to hold this VIR or Summit Point?
I would expect something like this from NASA-SE
but not the crown jewel of NASA (mid-atlantic).

Guns and racing. What a great combination. Why hasn't someone thought of it sooner?

I'm not sure if I should be offended by that or not!

Those happen to be my 2 big hobbies.

Too bad we don't have NASA in the Northwest.

Anybody else see the top gear episode where they did a Biathalon in AWD wagons? Hmmmm.

Early on autocrossers had to have the passenger spear or grab targets along the way....

I'd fit right in over there. I have a gun case mounted in the passenger side of my SM.

It was the best thing I could find to hold some electronics..

Maybe add a 'drive-by' competition? (fit right in with drifting)

I bet paddock disputes would be settled more diplomatically if everyone was packing.

Assault rifles OK?
I think I could rig two up on my light bar.
Would give a whole new meaning to who owns the apex. [yep]

Between the Meathead umbrella girls and the MARRS grid workers, the WDCR is doing very nicely in that regard.

Most of the youngsters won't remember the armed corner crews in the Midiv, who occasionally spent time between races taking target practice from the corners. As I recall, they were mostly members of the infamous Leaping Lizards Corner Crew.

Now now Muda, if you live in New York you better make sure those are pre-ban assault rifles...... Don't make me bust out my trusty FFL handbook.

Or for those of you in states where you don't have to deal with such shennanigans......
