What a great weekend of Miata racing. Weather was perfect. The competition was strong, VERY strong.

Congrats to Mark Bennett and Dennis Joynt for finishing 1-2 both days.

I would attribute it to people learning the track/practicing for the NASA National Championship later this year. There were racers from a wide variety of states. And there was a good amount of track time. You just had to learn how to pass and block those annoying non-SM cars. (Most of them are now having nightmares of being swarmed by a bunch of tiny Miata-shaped bugs. [Eek!] )

Congrats to Mark and Dennis on the strong 1-2. Always fun racing with Gary, and even Mellman who was up to 3rd on Saturday. I have to get faster...Mellman is too close!! [Big Grin] [duck]

David, great racing with you on Sunday. You drove a great race. I only made 1 real mistake and you got past me. Nice driving and racing!
