Here is Laura's in-car from the Sunday SM race:

http://www.vimeo.com/9876431

She had great battles the entire race with Pat O'Keefe and Bill Robertson. The first start is waived off, so skip ahead to 4:00 to get the actual race start.

Cheers!

Yeah, totally should have put NSFW in the title... [Smile]

You certainly can't claim that she's not passionate about racing!

I'd be swearing too if I got hit while being squeezed into the wall.

Thanks for posting, Dean!

Nicely done Laura. Why does everyone want to bash you out of T11?

You should post video from Sunday's A race, all that Scrappy rear bumper! :-)

Dean, how do you have your radio piped into the video?

Hey Brian,

I have two channels run through a small microphone pre-amplifier that I got from RaceCam (not ChaseCam). One channel is a mic that I put very close to the exhaust and the other goes to a handheld radio in the trunk on the same channel as our in-car radio. That way, it get's both sides of the conversation.

It's a simple 3.5mm mini plug to RCA patch cord. It's a Motorola SP-50 handheld.

If you want more details, let me know and I can snap some pics.

Cheers,

Dean

Clever idea to use a second radio in the trunk! Some pics would be great. One thing I noticed was how quiet the motor noise is compared to the radio. I turned the audio way up to hear the engine and nearly fell out of my chair backwards when Laura cursed at Bobby. [Smile]

I have used GPRS radios that I hacked to use an external antenna. It seemed to work about as well as most people's uhf radios except it was easier for non-racers to hop on a channel. It has a headphone out I could split.
