SoCal NASA will be invading BWRP in just over three-weeks... Who's planing on going?
The track will be in #1 configuration going Counter Clockwise direction. Here is the event registration link.
Now, in the past we've requested to eliminate the "bus stop" and still can if we want... However, the sole requirement for us to get this kind of stuff done (as well as Qual races) is for us to have 20+ SM/SSM's registered by end-of-day Monday, June 22nd. This way ensures we'll have our own run group thus allowing us to make the choices we want.

Tyler will be there as this is the second race of the Teen Mazda Challenge series. We had 6 drivers registered for the Nor Cal opener at Llihrednuht, so hopefully all 6 will return for this event.

I'm not sure if we can really afford the enduro. We ran the last WERC at Thill because we transferred our Saturday entry fee towards it (Long story..) and ended up fueling ourselves because we couldn't find anybody to do it.
If we do it this time, we will probably decide the day of... haha. Right now though, I'm going to say that I'm just racing SM.

Sean,
Let me know which way you're leaning and I'm sure we can work something out to get your car serviced.
The sun goes down around 8pm so the second stint will be in the dark.

Okay we need at least 15 more cars registered in order to get our own group:
1. Ryan Ellis 2. Shawn Sampson 3. Ken Saward 4. Rob Burgoon 5. John Mueller (SSM)
So, if you know you are coming please register this week. If you are still thinking about attending, please come (we'll miss you) and please register prior to the end-of-day Monday, June 22nd.

What is the button hook that you are talking about. Are you reering to the sweeper and star mazda turn. I think the same config without star mazda is #13. I can't see where there is a turn which goes around what is commonly called the button hook which is also called the off-ramp.
I am curious to find out. I never knew there was a 1A config.

The "A" configuration affects the turn known as "Off Ramp" (the 2nd to last corner running CCW and the 2nd corner running CW).
The yellow line is the "A" configuration. The red line is the standard configuration. Sorry it's a little jagged.
What I want to know is when we're going to be running the Figure 8 configuration using the section between Club Corner and the Bus Stop as the intersection and Atlantic and Pacific as the connectors. And you thought the busstop was hairy before!

For as good of a racer as Rob is, don't use the yellow line as the racing line. Don't get me wrong, That is the way Rob drives (all squiggily) its just not the fastest way around that turn.

Well if you want to make it easy on yourself, I'd drive the yellow line so that it will be easier for me to pass you when I'm driving the red line!

In a motion of solidarity, We should all paddock together. I won't get there until Friday night can someone from Thursday night reserve a paddock large enough for 17 cars?
If you have your own group then please advise so we don't have to hold the spot.
Thanks in advance to those organizing!
Sean

Tuesday
Each SoCal track is different... BWRP opens stupid early on Fridays for testing. Test-days at BWRP are run by the track, not NASA, so the format is not the greatest but it's track time nonetheless.
On event weekends there is a guard at the gate 24/7 so entry/exit are minimally monitored but it makes it nice if you're going to be late.
If you have an RV there is an RV park with hook-ups, call the track to check availability.
Hope this helps.

Jonathan has the championship sowed up (something like F1) and wont miss a beat anyway when he comes back!
There are 3 more that I'm sure will register in the next few days and a couple of maybes so wont be surprised if we push 25!
We should all call or email the track and ask for a separate run group on Fri for the street cars. Last event was not only dangerous with them on the track but a waste of time for the racers.

Christian Family, Sorry you won't make it but have a safe trip! Any work you want us to do on your cars while your gone? I have a screwdriver, a jack, and large hammer and I'm probably most refined with the hammer.
Bring us back some of those little umbrellas.

As much as I think the Exige is an awesome car, getting brake-checked by a white one at an April test day was not as awesome
I just spoke with Les at BRP and let him know of the majority’s wish to have a separate session for street cars on the test day. Given that it’s before a NASA weekend, it is not likely that we will have many, if any, open wheel cars, so this might not even be an issue. However, there is that SRF that races with NASA and some open wheelers might come out just for the day. I let him know that most want to have 20 min sessions instead of 25 min, if it would guarantee us our own group. He was very receptive and said that something would be worked out.

Good news... We've got 21 cars and may get a few more. Thanks so much to everyone, Ryan really appreciates it (event schedule is easier to do when drivers reg early).
Add the following to the above list of competitors:
20. Tyler Vance 21. Sammy Valafar (2008 NASA Nat-Champ runner-up)
