I just did some racing at Zandvoort in the MX5s/Miatas. It was my first time at the track so a bit slow in places (tough track to learn to go quick at). My teammates from the UK had raced the track many times before including 12hr enduros so knew it pretty well.

Apart from Race 3 where I had rear brake locking problems, resulting in many "moments" I had 3 x 3rd place finishes behind my UK teammates. Not bad considering we were up against the Dutch guys and this is their home circuit.

Videos are all inc. Race Technology DL1 Data Overlay via Trackvision Software. There is Race 1 & 3 from my car (video messed up on race 2) and for race 4 we fitted the equipment to team boss Jonathan Blakes car.

Nice Pic and video. I see you are putting the smack down on the Milano behind you in the picture.

Blake,

Nothing near London, the coming weekend they are racing at Pembrey (Wales, near Cardiff). As the MX5s also (currently) run in the Nippon Challenge series there are potential 6 races for the MX5s. I'd love to have done this one but doubt I can owing to other commitments.

The race after that is Aug 25th at Mallory Park, a double-header.

ACTUALLY, there is another race for MX5s nearer London. On Thur 21st Aug there is an all day event called "Powernights". The races actually run in the evening, 17:30 to 20:30. They are brilliant events with a real party atmosphere and run at Silverstone (about 1 to 1.5hrs from London).

The nearest race meeting to London will be the 8/9th Nov race meeting at Brands Hatch.

Brands Hatch is very easy to get to from London. You take a train out and a taxi from there. Really cool place as well.
