With no use of the SMulator as of late I've commandeered it for internal use.
In the winter/off season if there is sufficient demand for it once again we will look into renting a commercial server in Texas or somewhere else centrally located.
Feel free to post and let me know how many are interested in online racing in the off season.

I'm in but please decide what game...I can't keep buying the newest and greatest and updating computers (only reason I ever update PCs is b/c of new race sims). I have GTR and GTL so far and I know you guys have tried RFactor and one other one...which one?????

I am currently in another league with another SM driver from up here. We were using GTR (last race is next week), then we will upgrade to GTR2 (much more realistic driving simulator). I have no problem purchasing Rfactor or GTL for an SM league. I will beat you all at either! Oops better create a SMulator SMack Thread for that kind of talk............

Alan, just wait until Don drives you off the track...did you see the Pro Formula Mazda race at Road America this year? Last lap, the leader was getting passed by two cars and he pushed one off the track. That's Don right there.

Apologies for the chop. I must have been lapping you. Next time I'll be more cordial and less obtuse and offer moving chicanes a wider berth.
When you drive, its very reminiscent to the World Champ Damon Hill, so we ought to be aware that you're really in a test session, while everyone else is in a race. At your recent driver's school did they suggest that you stay on the line when Schumach hotshoes are approaching from the rear? Definitely safer.
Like Hill, we can give you the benefit of the doubt, and realize you are tunneled on blue flags, adjusting mirrors, and just coming to grips and rereading the GCR.
AO,
What can I say to that?
I need some lunch money. Is your billfold as wide as the berth of your mouth?
hey guys all the miatas Im making will convert very easily to gtr2 if you guys find that more attractive then rfactor.
there the same game engine so its pretty simple for me to do either, just adds a little bit of time
I stick with rfactor because simbin just modifies there work and then screws up the netcode but its really not much difference for me to make the cars for either

Jeez...let's decide on a game. I have GTR, bought GT Legends (never installed) when everyone said that's the next big thing...built a PC to RFactor specs and now we're going to GTR2?

Unfortunately these PC racing games are like underwear, you always have to change them. I have 2 copies of NR2k3 (with about 8 different modifications (CUP, GNS, TPTCC, IROC, Late Model...etc), GTR, GTR2 and some older Open Wheel Racing game that I never installed.
