If you intend on signing up for this Friday’s Open Testing & Tuning at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, please do so now to ensure The Mid-Ohio School can justify running it. Current enrollments do not support The Mid-Ohio School holding this event. A decision will be made on Wednesday morning (October 7) whether it will be cancelled. This was a popular event last year with 30 cars entered, and this year four cars are entered thus far.
The price is $150 for this special afternoon Test & Tune preceding the Ohio Valley Region SCCA weekend at Mid-Ohio. This is your opportunity to bed some brakes, break in some tires, or just get some extra track time before your race weekend. The schedule is as follows:
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (if not participating in track walk)
Track Walk (Optional) 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Driver’s Meeting 11:45 a.m. – 12:00 noon
On Track Sessions begin (split into 3 groups based on car mix) 12:00 p.m. – 4:25 p.m. (Each group guaranteed 3 - 25 min. track sessions)
Group 1 – 12:00, 1:30, 3:00 Group 2 – 12:30, 2:00, 3:30 Group 3 – 1:00, 2:30, 4:00
Group #1 - Open wheel: Formula Ford, Club Formula Ford, Formula Continental and Club Formula Continental
Group #2 - Closed Wheel group: American Sedan, Touring Corvette Challenge, Improved Touring R & E (ITS)
Group #3 - Closed Wheel group: Spec Racer Ford, Spec Miata, Showroom Stock Miata, Improved Touring A, B, C & 7
