I'm in. I love Grattan.
Can you explain the a little bit on the three race format? Waterford Hills does a three race format, just wondering if it is similar.
Waterford: Sat morn qualifying grids for Sat afternoon race. Sat afternoon race finishing position grids for Sun morn race. Fastest lap from any of the three sessions grids for Sunday afternoon race.

I plan on attending this event. It will be my first time at grattan, so I'm hoping someone wouldn't mind me following them around for a few laps during the friday test day, so I can get a feel for the track. On that same note, does anyone have some in-car footage from grattan that I could watch?

Alex - I am doing the Friday practice, so if you'd like to lead follow, I am willing to help for a session or two. I've done a few Skip Barber schools there.
I may have some good video from last year that I could send you. I'll check.

I have RT data and video from earlier this year.
I'd help out with line but I wont be there. If Chris Childs (not SM, but Waterford guy - Angry Sheep Motorsports) happens to be there, hook up with him for a track walk and/or video review. Chris is one of those guys that just simply gets that track.
Glad to hear you are getting to some other tracks - Grattan is a lot of fun!
Turn 2, 3, the bus-stop and the jump will give you some very good practice on brake modulation.

As I am registration sitemaster and my wife is registrar, we are being besieged by questions about whether this race will be cancelled or not. I want to make this clear....WE ARE NOT CANCELLING THIS RACE. WMR has never cancelled a race. Yes, the entry count is low but we are NOT cancelling this event. So don't sit on the sidelines an wonder if the race is going to be run and 'should I enter or not'.....come on out and race.
The nature of entries this time of year is such that drivers wait until the last minute to decide whether to enter an event or not (finances, car readiness, available prep time, etc.). I understand....I'm a racer too. But this delay forces entries to be slow in coming in until the last few days. This timeline allows for doubt to creep in as to whether an event will be run.
WMR works very hard to make sure our events are driver friendly. As it stands now we will loose our shirts on this event and it may go away next year unless things change. We are a small region and don't have the resources to lose money on events consistently. Please support WMR and Grattan by coming out to this event.
So enter online at wmr-scca.motorsportreg.com and please contact me (517.889.1117, frameh at msu dot edu) if you have any questions.
