I just picked up a sweet 2007 MX-5 street car and I figured surely someone in the SM community has got some knowledge about these cars. [thumbsup]

Does anyone know what is the wheel offset on an MX-5 ?

Also, does anyone know if they make a hardtop for the MX-5 ? I thought "no" which is why the Playboy Cup cars run sans top but the owners manual shows one. Weird.

Also, will the MX-5 be allowed in SM ? My car should be ready for that in about a dozen years... [Wink]

The stock offset on the 17x7 wheels are +55.

I have run 17x8 +45 with 235/40R17 no problem at all.

Right now I'm running 17x9 +45 with 255/40R17!

If you ever need a a front bumper or headlights, just contact any MX-5 Cup team. We have tons of them since we converted to 2009 items. Of course, 16 inch stock wheels, soft tops, interiors, stock suspension, etc fill our shops too....

The hardtop's part number is: NFY2-R1-81XE-XX where you supposedly replace the "XX" with the paint code. But this doesn't seem to work using the actual paint code (i.e. True Red's paint code is A4A but it uses the number 11 in the part number). The following are the various part numbers for colors that I've found:

True Red NFY2-R1-81XE-11
Velocity Red NFY2-R1-81XE-87
Sunlight Silver NFY2-R1-81XE-68
Winning Blue NFY2-R1-81XE-94
Galaxy Gray NFY2-R1-81XE-91
Brilliant Black NFY2-R1-81XE-75
Marble White NFY2-R1-81XE-71
Nordic Green NFY2-R1-81XE-97
