Anybody else suffering from an early onset of racing cabin fever (like me)? I was driving to the office this morning and found myself thinking how much I'd love to be racing versus waiting in trafic.

Amen to that Rick. Hope you have a good holiday.

We will be down at Daytona for the WKA Manufacture Cup Kart races the week after Christmas, so I will get to warm up and also get my racing fix for a little bit.

Rick,

You could have been racing in the MARFE Karting Series. We still have the same whiners, but now they have experience.

And the 24-Hour at Daytona is just a month away. Unfortunately, I have to be in Las Vegas this year during that time.

I hear ya !! I got my arm broken on the 2nd session of SoCal NASAs October event, so my off-season started 2-mos early. Then I got to stand and watch my buddies racing @ this yrs 25hr!

Hell, I still don't have medical clearance to work on the SSM or the 66 Mustang project-car sitting in my driveway. I'm dying over here!

Yeppers. My HPDE Miata is under a few inches of snow and the Vette is on a trickle charger. Itchin' for spring.

I drove my Vette all this week, but all that accomplished was wetting the appetite!

So bump-drafting and apexing corners on the street is a bad thing?

That's why i get funny looks...

Cabin what? It is 76F here at Homestead Speedway, winds at 13mph from the Northeast. Clear blue skies as far as the eye can see.

I bought an MX-5 a week before the snow hit ! However, I'm having fun with my hand-me-down / tow vehicle Explorer in the snow.

Here's a sure fire way to cure your cabin fever. Find a place to park then walk around a mall packed with rabid Christmas shoppers for a couple of hours. You'll be missing your cabin in no time.

Heck, I'm getting Miata overload. I got the engine/tranny back into my "new" SM last night. Electricals are all hooked up, fuel lines... Now, just waiting on my radiator to be delivered, finish up the brakes & I've got a runner.

At that point, it's time for a cage/interior, paint & some testing!

Fix your cabin fever; come to my shop & turn some wrenches!

Off season for the Florida drivers means we go online and start some trouble.....After all we have a race in less than 2 weeks.
Pack a bag come down and enjoy the sun, if nothing else, go online and start some Controversy, you'll feel much better and leave with a touch of sunburn..

Car control == '09 M3 + Michelin Pilot Sport tires + 14" of snow

Yeah, did that on our driving vacation through two (just missed the 3rd that Vick's mentioning) snowstorms this winter.

Max-performance summer tires are NOT for snow driving! [Razz]
