I just got done talking to Mazda and they told me that I cannot replace the U Joints, I have to buy an entire new driveshaft, I have checked all of the parts stores and nobody can get them. Has anyone else ran into this problem? If so, what did you end up doing?

My Miata was an automatic back in the "street car days", I swapped to 5-spd for racin (motor too)... Nevertheless, yes the transmissions are different lengths, but close enough to use the same driveshaft.

The U-joint replacement is Rockwell part# 430-10. I bought a new set for $90 shipped from my local driveline shop. They fit perfectly. They used to be listed for Miata's & Some RX-7's. Most parts houses have dropped the cross reference. They found it listed for a Nissan pick-up.
