I'm trying to talk some folks who already do this into adapting their hardware to the Miata. Any interest?

I've been passively working on trying to assemble a setup for this. If you can get them to do it at a reasonable price, then I'm definitely interested.

I'll pass it on. It will run ~$1,200 for two corners, ~$2K for a four-corners-at-a-time package.

Just curious, but how does this greatly improve a simple string system in order to justify a $2k price tag?

It's a matter of accuracy. Mounting the lasers to the adapter hubs is as tight as you can get, and means the car spends less distance per lap trying to go sideways.

There are now versions for driveline alignment.

(With the four-corner package it's just faster and easier. You don't need to drop $2K up front.)

No affiliation. Yada, yada.
