Firing up a new/used engine I just installed, it was running rough. To diagnose, I pulled the heat shield and took temps of the exhaust manifold pipes. Number two was noticeably low. Changed plug and injector and problem went away. Set timing and rpm.
Just for grins, I took the temps again. #1 is about 650, #2 and #3 are about 670 and # 4 is 550. Decided to change to a full set of new plugs and injectors and got the same results. Has anyone else checked their temps and found this? Anyone have an explanation for the low temp of #4?

I would say 4 is flat or fat. Did you try swapping #1 injector with 4? 4 is the first cyl to go as well. I'd leak and compression test it.
