If anybody needs a good donor 1.6 cylinder head, I will have one available next week. It was the original on my SM, has 100K miles on it. It will be in full working order, but not "freshened" or anything.
July 89 build date. Aren't those early heads supposed to flow better?

Very good idear, Jim. I actually have a set of old rains that were going to be shaved down when I need them as dries later this summer. If they're going to be shaved down anyway, well...

Just a few minutes ago I decided to put last year's rains on Karen's Nissan Sentra. Can't come off again as spares, but it's nice to have something to do with them other than toss 'em in the can.

In need of......
Just got myself a second 1990 Miata, for use as the daily driver, and rolling spares car, maybe even a future race donor.(I need all the seat time I can get!)
The cunning plan is to chase set up to spec miata spec over the coming weeks and months. I was therefore wondering if anyone might have a few things.
Transmission - one in the "new" car ain't gonna last much longer.
SM -Front and rear sway bars Koni's and springs. Racing Beat or other CAI Soft top, car came with a factory HT, apparently the installed ST has a leak or two, might be nice to run without the HT during the summer. LSD - probably last on my list of to do's. 15" wheels, nothing fancy, won't need to make wieght
Not looking to rush all this, sort of an over the next few months kinda deal. Not looking to spend a mint so used parts for all of this is my prime route.

Anybody have lying in the back of their garages a street roll-bar/hoop for 1990 Miata, maybe taken off a donor car before the full cage went in?
Still hoping one of you might be refreshing your shocks/springs/swaybars and in need of a recipeient/buyer for your old components.
One last question. Anybody ever found an easy way to take an inch or two out of the hieght of a stock seat, I could use a fraction more head room in my street miata.

Greg - thanks for the tip regarding headroom. Worked out very well, makes for a slightly harsher ride, but my noggin' is now well clear of the roof line.
Still hoping somebody out there has some gently used shocks/springs/swaybars and a roll bar, so I can get this we beasty out for some track days.
