Not sure if I am missing them somewhere but did NASA follow some of the competition adjustments made this year to the 1994-97 cars?

Specifically the switch from the 27mm front bar to the adjustable 24mm?

I already got clarification that they aren't allowing the the 47mm RP and higher weight.

Any insight is appreciated.

NASA has not changed it's sm rules to match SCCA. My information is they will not make ANY changes until after the NASA nationals in UTAH this month. I also would not count on them copying everything the SCCA did.....

Thanks Tony. I was afraid of that, ...and bears.

It looks like I've got to do a little work before NASA Nationals since the car was most recently set up for SCCA National racing.

From the Group F race director - I'm not him, and don't have any answers...

All,

Forgot to mention earlier that we have heard some talk about whether or not we would adopt “that other group’s” rule change for weight and restrictors. The verdict is no. With it being this late in the game, and this close to people having their cars begin to get ready for Nationals, we have decided not to make any changes. That is not to say it won’t be looked at in the future, just not for 2010 Nationals.

Thanks,

JJ

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the update. How about the 24mm front sway bar for the 94-97 cars? Has that been updated?

I think John is going to be busy doing the 25 Hours this weekend, I would anticipate something next week (hopefully, we have our first race of 2011 the second weekend in January)!

Okay, thanks for the patience. Prepping & running a team for the 25hr was more than I ever anticipated. Back to reality...

NASA will remain very close to SCCA for the 2011 season with no major changes. So down with your wrenches and credit-cards.

- NASA will mirror the open Fuel Pressure and open Timing.
- ECU mods, Sway bars and Diffs will remain as is.
- NASA is confirming plates & weights with some testing.
- The 2011 rules will be officially released on or prior to December 19th.

Again sorry for the delay, my bad not NASA's.
