From what i've been told a 2:00 - 2:02 lap time at tws ccw is a pretty decent sm time. What kind of lap times should the same driver under the same conditions expect in a ssm? Is it a huge difference or just down to 1 or 2 seconds a lap?
Thanks in advance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from memory (fading fast), a Spec Miata pole position will usually run about 2:05 in a CW direction, which is faster than a pole position in a CCW direction. Thus, a SSM in the CW direction should be slower than 2:05, and traveling in the CCW direction should be even slower. I don't think a 2:02 in a SSM is likely in either direction. But then, I'm usually wrong-according to my wife.

A SM travelling CCW on the 2.9 mile course should set a pole time of 2:00.xxx in good weather. Maybe a 2:01.xxx in summer.

I really don't have any clue about SSM lap times or the rules. Since SOWDIV SCCA does not run SSM, I am guessing you are running NASA, so head over to its website. I think the CCR and SSM rules might be on-line.
Sorry I can't help, I just don't know anything about SSM except that I have heard about it.
