Maybe I'm late to this party, but what are the max torque and HP number caps for a sealed 1.6 SSM motor?

What is the cost to seal an engine? Does this include the work to get you to the max hp limit?

Rick

Rick, It's a mess to try to compare different regions hp and tq numbers because some are using different dynos than the one that I did my research on.

For us, it's a dynojet 248c and the numbers are 114.5 max and TQ of 103 max.

This may be adjusted since we're trying to figure out correlations of dynos etc. But those numbers were set using a nice variation of cars from totally junkyard motors (my car) to a mid prep car and finally with a full on everything done to it pro motored car with all the fixin's.

In addition the tq must ride in a "curve" to keep people from messing with tq numbers.

It's a process in flux but I think we've got a good start. At least people tell me so...

Thanks to everyone that helped!

It's variable depending on the shop but it appears to be in the $350-$500 range depending on some variables.

And yes, the cost should include the tuning to get the car up to the limit.

My motor dyno'ed at 101hp so I can't wait for a shop to step up and get me 114hp for $500 or less!
