I'm looking for advise on which ECU to purchase.

My plan is to run my crate SM engine in my FP chassis to start while I take my time (re: find $)to build my FP motor.

I'd like to purchase an ECU that could provide some bump in power for my crate engine and later be able to transition to the FP motor easily.

Keep in mind that I'm a novice at these types of tuning/programming functions.

Thanks for any advise.

megasquirt... plain and simple.

after running FP years ago and using SDS and AEM, for the money you are CRAZY not to use megasquirt.

worked great in my ITA car.

So far in my experience, the Electromotive Tec3 is not outrageously expensive and works exceptioanlly well in a fully built FP motor. I could only guess that it could work very well in a stock motor and later mapped to a fully built motor.
If you need some expert advice, Jesse Prather is an Electromotive dealer and has these things dialed in perfectly.

Good luck with the build John and don't hesitate to keep asking questions.
