Have it built by Profab using the Miatacage.com frame jig. It's the best you can do and building one (frame jig) yourself just doesn't make sense.

My new build had literally less than a 1/6th inch of play from corner to corner when done. Now think about that when tuning to the bumpstops!

I've got lots of large pictures of production car open cages if you're looking for some. Most if not all prod car cages are custom fit for each driver and fuel cell configuration. E-mail me if you're interested or you can find them on my facebook account.

Thanks Guys [Smile] Jesse nailed it, and I should have been more clear in my original request; I was looking for open top prod style cages. His and John Neilson's got me what I needed [Smile]

I just uploaded 60 pictures to the Spec Miata smugshot section.
http://smugshots.specmiata.com/main.php?g2_itemId=9382

If that link doesn't work, go into smugshots and search on my name then click on the first album labeled 'FP Build'.

I literally looked at about 10 open top Miata's and designed mine for me and for disaster revovery should I get into a violent end over end roll over situation and end upsidedown. My hoop is tall and full length just for that reason, and not necessarily for CG or aerodynamics. So far, I don't think it has been a factor. [Smile]
