My understanding is that the cars have the motors, trans and diffs sealed at the dealer. I don't know if that would allow the car to be properly serviced as a street car or not.

Any 2006+ MX-5 can be made into a cup car, but the best is to get a "Touring" car with the "suspension" package. The Touring is the minimum package to ensure you have a 6-speed and the Suspension package gets you the Torsen differential at the best price. Call if you have any questions.

By the way, motors are no longer sealed at the dealership. Just buy the car you want. You will have to send the motor to Comptech for dyno testing / sealing before your first race.

There are several on the market. I've seen them from as little as $28K to as much as $40K+, depending on condition and options. These are great cars to step up to from SM!

I have mine up for sale and I still have all the original interior & top that I took out at 500 miles. I even saved all the many nuts, bolts & screws that came out with the interior.
