Red Roof Inn in Loudon (10 mins from track) or several options a few miles further away in the Concord area. Or pitch a tent in the infield.

+1 for Red Roof

If you pitch a tent, stay away from the big green one...
he has a problem with gas. [blush] [yep]

Track showers, electrical hook-ups, etc are great.

I found a KILLER sushi joint near Concord last year. PM me for details if that's your thing.

Thanks guys. There's probably better parties in the infield but my wife isn't into the camping out thing - hasen't been for the last 30 years. Something about a mouse in her sleeping bag. You know how it is - if I want to go play I have to keep her happy. Any good restaurants in the area besides the sushi place. Never could get excited about raw fish or chicken

There is a good place down the road from the red roof inn....I forget the name but it's basically a lobster shack. There's another seafood place that has a nice restaurant, and a pretty hopping bar if you're into that.

Common Man one exit south on 93 from 353 is really good too. I try to hit it on the way up sometimes...parking for the trailer around back by the hotel. And there's some good stuff in downtown Concord on Main St.

If you went 30 years ago you would remember rt9, Veanos(it's gone)but rt9 has everthing, major stores, any and all resteraunts as well.
RedRoof is right at 106 and RT9/393.
Best food is The Tilton Diner @ exit 20 off 93.

+1 for the Tilt'n Diner. Part of the Common Man. There is also plenty of stuff right off 106 in Concord which is right down the street from the Red Roof Inn.

Hey Howard, we always google the bed and breakfast places in the area. the wife and I enjoy them much better than motels (read more atmosphere and a lot less noise) and typically the are either the same cost or cheaper than a motel. and you usually get a killer breakfast to start the day out right.

Check to see what time that delicious breakfast is served though.
Weekend serve times are not always early.

Woah
What is going on. My car is still up on jack stands. Am I missing something here? I better get out to the garage and get stuff done so I am ready for the race.

There's plenty of room in front of me on the grid. [Razz]

Thanks again guys. Hope to see you there. I'll check out the Common Man. I was looking at a web site that said that the Red Roof Inn charges extra for trailer parking. Anybody encountered this?

Watch out this year. I have added a wood block to the accelerator pedal so I can reach it.

Dump your car and trailer at the track when you roll in the night before the school. You can probably get registration out of the way at the same time. That's an hour's worth of work that you won't have to worry about on the first morning of the school when you'll be nervous enough already. Try to paddock near the far garages, as that's where class will be held. Or even rent a garage so you don't have to worry about rain. There is access to power and air in the garages too.
