Get the feeling I'm being dense and missing the obvious...

Barely got the right side motor mount out scraping it along the bottom of the starter. Now putting the fancy new mount in, can't seem to get it to fit no matter which way I turn it. I'm probably making this harder than it should be... I see two solutions - pulling the starter or pulling the coil pack off so I can jack the engine higher. Which of those would be better...or is there a simpler solution that I'm missing? [Confused]

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, there was a bracket to the starter (or some bracket there) that I pulled off and it made the job much easier...Then that side was easy.

Thanks, I got it...just had to get the engine even higher. Not a fan of that deal - don't like having my hands in a place that's in danger if the jack fails...

stuff a jackstand under the engine or blocks of wood to stop engine from dropping if jack fails. or break out the engine hoist.
