Hey guys,
I've got some friends in Jackson that need some exposure to road racing. Where's the closest one that hosts SCCA or NASA events?

No Problem Raceway Park is now under new management and the name has been changed to Circuit at Grand Bayou. There is much development taking place at the track and it is being turned into a "motorsports ranch." There is a complete new track design slated to be race ready mid year of 2011. In this new form, there will no longer be an integration with the drag strip as it will be owned by the old management. http://www.circuitgrandbayou.com/Default.aspx

Don't hold your breath. They are already behind schedule and have switched to making the kart track a priority over the road course. I was at the kickoff meeting and it is a very ambitious project to the tune of $30 million being bankrolled by one person.

That is why our race series runs from October to March. Not much racing down here during the summer.
