I am throwing paper at it, wrong number of teeth on flywheel and front tires too small.

I used to have a valve from a tug-boat diesel standing in my office, people didn't believe that it stood 3 ft tall. Let alone pick it up.

Deck height is too tall... you can mill a bit of that off. 5.245" is the spec.

Sorry, but it would be obvious with the 50' tall cowl induction hood needed.

It's all fun and games until you have to change 30k gallons of oil after every race weekend.

It's OK. I'm sure with the proper sized restrictor we can still have parity. [duck]

I think that the flywheel might be a little under weight. We should throw paper at that. It might rev too quickly.

Believe it or not that motor has some similar engineering/parts to our engine that's not common in most car engines.

Anybody care to guess???

"Oil Squirters" is correct. Very good Randy [thumbsup]

You will see oil squirters in some turbocharged applications and very high end sports cars but they are not common place and yet we have them in our engines...very cool!

Thanks! If I may follow with my own trivia question. For anyone: Why -do- Miata engines have oil squirters when they're not normally turbocharged? Where did the Miata engine originally come from?

323 GTX?

BTW my 1981 Mazda 626 (decidedly low performance) had oil squirters too if I recall.

Maybe its a Mazda thing?

We had a 1988 323GT (FWD turbo, with the 1.6 motor). Very fun car. That would explain the squirters.

LOL! Actually, imagine anyone trying to race it. At the very first turn on any road course, it'll be a quarter mile off the track and buried in the woods.
