Very interesting video. Watched many of those cars race the Milwaukee mile including Jimmy Clark & Dan Gurney in the Lotus.

Is it Mr. Parnelli or Mr. Jones? [duck]

Errol;
another awesome video, this time with THE man,
Rufus Parnelli Jones.
One bad dude, only guy who could tell Carrol Shelby to go F himself, to his face, and get away with it.

[Eek!]
Back in the late 60's Trans Am days, Mark Donahue always said Parnelli was the most difficult racer to pass, Gurney was finesse, Follmer was rough, Revson was smooth, Parnelli was impossible to get by in his Bud Moore Cougars and Mustangs.
In the USAC indy car wars, remember reading 1960's quotes from Foyt (another bad dude) "no one messes with Parnelli".
You were in the presence of the greatest pure 'racer', ever. A True American icon.
Way cool ... and the "Mr Parnelli" was just ... perfect.
[thumbsup]
BTW; am assembling photos of the RX2, from the Bedard build in '74 to Ken Breslauer (final owner) before Jim Downing's existing restoration. Will scan and send to you along with my contact info.
Keep those back in the day vids coming.

Not to mess with Errol's thread but being that Carlos brought up A.J. here's one that'll last for ever. Another race of racers that I viewed at the Mile. Let us not forget about Herk, Jim Hurtubise.
