The Northern New Jersey and South Jersey regions will be conducting a MARRS - NARRC - NJRRS championship series event at New Jersey Motorsports Park. This event is the Summer Thunder regional races on the Thunderbolt course on 21-22 August. This will be the only head to head competition between MARRS and NARRC in 2010.

The Summer Thunder will be the second leg of the Jersey Trifecta. For 2010, the Jersey Racing Board has announced that any competitor who entered the Third Annual Lightning Challenge in July and enters the Summer Thunder MARRS-NARRC regional will be eligible for a $100 rebate from the JRB by entering the Jersey Road Race Classic in October. Same driver, no restriction on car / class

There will be a separate SCCA Test Day on Friday, 20 August on the Thunderbolt course.

Online registration is now open at on the DLB site - Select South Jersey Region or Northeast Division as the Club to see the event calender.

I can't make this but my MARRS Boyz will rock the podium!

ITA? fagetaboutit!..Rowdy, Slappy and maybe DePedro will clean up.

SM you say? The ones that Meat doesn't take out will be beat by The Waterboy, The Brothers Grim, K-Slim and Some dude wearing a Gilligan Hat. Brian "Blowup" Billey might finish a race if he can make it there without breaking something....(Desai who?)

SSM you say? Dude in the Gilligan Hat running double duty, Thriller (if he doesn't drink too much the night before and he uses his Gold Bond), and one of the Windsor Clan...

None of these are in order except for they will be spraying Cheap Champagne on each other...Thriller will be drinking it..

Only about 8 numbers available on DLB. Hmmm. Why is it that NJRRS doesn't have reserved numbers?

Alan, if you're going to talk smack, you should be there. Have fun in Hawaii.

True, it is also "blown up good" [Wink] Why did I sell that Miata again?

I am going to need to rent a car this year to get in a second race to keep my SCCA license but I am not sure which event it is going to be. I will be back.

If Tosh gets up on the wheel like he did in this event last year, the win is his. For those of you with short memories, Tosh started about 14th last year and chased down Big Z and Brian Price by the final lap.

Here is an even better excuse... I won't be there because my USTA tennis team is going to sectionals in Princeton that weekend. <Flame suit on>

Good luck to all! See you at the 13 hour.

Kenny and Kevin raced bumper to bumper till the last few laps when Kevin put the move on him, Then he, Kevin, ran out of gas, litterally, stumbled across the finish line.

Hey Tim, that extra gallon I put in at the grid was "the lucky gallon" [yep]

I think I got the top spot on the podium for the most flies brought home in the tow vehicle.

Pretty much a Windsor & Co. sweep in SSM with Scott & Chris winning on Sat. & Sun.

Congrats to the winners. Great weekend!

Did it rain on Sunday.....HA!

Monsoon, then sprinkle, monsoon, then sprinkle...

Monsoon across the front straight then sprinkle through turns 5-8...

Wet, wet, wet, & more wet...

A "fun" ride to say the least but next time I think I'll go with the wets regardless...

Fun running with you Brandon. It was treacherous out there on dry's. Well I took it home the way I brought it, just a little wet. Still mad at myself for not putting on the rains. My first time there looking forward to coming back.

Nice to see everyone this weekend. A special congrats to Jason Livingood in our 77 car for a great 6th place in the rainy SSM race!

Gene - you too drove a great race in SSM! And thank you again for your heads up driving in the SM race; I was on a mission! [Smile]

Just for future reference; I don't recommend driving Thunderbolt with a failing 4th gear - it was brutal trying to keep concentration not knowing if 4th would work or not; thankfully it went in about 60% of the time [Embarrassed]

Congrats to Chris Windsor and Kenny on their respective wins, and a big thank you to the JRB; the Jersey regions do a tremendous job at a great facility with some pretty spectacular workers and volunteers!

Thanks guys, I had a great race which would not have been possible without the help of the Windsor Customs guys, and Mike Lamaina battling it out with me which helped us move through the field.

I look forward to seeing everyone at Summit Point in October.

Oh, and the little brother should be there as well.

That guy had a full straight lead on both of them until a plug wire popped off...so I hear.. He was afraid he popped the motor and pulled off in T1 so he didn't ruin anyone else's race by oiling down the track.....
